A Hazleton-Area Attorney With Deep Local Roots
Alexis Falvello is a Hazleton-area attorney whose connection to the community extends far beyond her own legal career. A 1997 graduate of Hazleton Area High School, Alexis attended Dickinson College and later Dickinson Law, becoming the fourth generation of her family to attend the law school.
After graduating from law school in 2005, Alexis began her legal career in Pittsburgh before returning home to the Hazleton area. Today, she represents clients in personal injury matters, with a particular focus on people injured in motor vehicle crashes.
Her approach combines direct client involvement with the courtroom and investigative experience she developed earlier in her career as a prosecutor.
A Family History Rooted in the Hazleton Area
The Falvello family’s roots in the Hazleton area reach back generations.
Alexis’s great-great-grandfather immigrated to the United States from Italy and worked as a mason, helping construct buildings throughout the Hazleton area, some of which remain standing today. His son, Alexis’s great-grandfather, was raised at United Charities in West Hazleton with his two brothers. The brothers worked to help one another pursue their educations; two became attorneys and one became a dentist.
The legal tradition continued through Alexis’s grandfather, her father and other members of the Falvello family. More than a century after the first Falvello entered the legal profession, Alexis continues that tradition in the community where her family put down its roots.
From Prosecutor to Personal Injury Attorney
Before focusing on private practice, Alexis spent several years as a prosecutor with the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office.
In 2012, she was promoted to Deputy District Attorney and became the lead prosecutor for the Vehicular Homicide Division. She also prosecuted serious criminal matters involving child sexual abuse, aggravated assault, Megan’s Law violations, drug offenses and other cases that required close work with law enforcement, investigators, witnesses and physical evidence.
Alexis regularly tried cases before juries during her time as a prosecutor. That experience gave her an understanding not only of courtroom strategy, but of the investigative work and attention to detail required long before a case reaches a courtroom.
Her work in the Vehicular Homicide Division became especially relevant when she later began representing people injured in motor vehicle crashes.
An Investigative Approach to Car Accident Cases
A serious crash is not always fully explained by a police report.
Depending on the circumstances, important evidence may exist in surveillance footage, doorbell cameras, municipal camera systems, cell phone records or video, witness accounts, vehicle information and other sources. In appropriate cases, a crash reconstruction professional may also be needed to help determine how a collision occurred.
When a case requires additional investigation, Falvello Law will work with private investigators, crash reconstruction professionals and other resources to identify, obtain and preserve evidence.
